Nursery

In our spacious and airy nursery, our qualified and experienced staff provides a happy, nurturing environment where your son or daughter feels special and secure as they begin their school life.

Children can attend for morning sessions or full days. Arrival is flexible, between 8.15am and 8.45am.

We try to be as flexible as possible about the number of sessions that you feel your child is ready to attend. This will of course be affected by availability and the agreement of the Head of Nursery and Head of Pre-Prep.

There are two nursery classrooms. Our youngest children are in Nursery 1 – a magical place that is transformed from farm to train to vets, depending upon the interests of the children attending that particular day. The numbers are small in these sessions ensuring a very high child/adult ratio. In this way we hope that your child’s first days away from their family are the happy beginnings of a wonderful learning journey.

The children progress to Nursery 2 – a large, bright and airy room which sparkles with the work and personalities of the children who fill it every day. Double doors lead outside, where the children will find a large sand pit and climbing frame, a growing area, wendy houses and a multitude of outdoor toys and vehicles.

Our Nursery children are part of a thriving Pre-Prep where children are challenged and learning is fun. They attend and participate in assemblies and concerts, special events such as Book Week and International Week, are part of our house system and attend house meetings and Jewel Assemblies. You will even see them perform on the stage in our school theatre at Christmas and the end of the Summer Term.
