Wilbur and Robin used some of their Easter holidays to complete the YHA Peak District challenge to raise money for our school charity, Hope and Homes for Children.

The children walked 45km over 3 days through rain, floods and wind, starting at Hathersage and walking all the way to Castleton.  The flooded rivers made for treacherous conditions on the first day with re-routes adding an extra 2km to the distance they had to complete. The second day brought relief from the rain and on a cold afternoon the team made it to Ravenstor where they bedded down for the night. The third and final day saw beautiful weather and the children were rewarded for their perseverance with stunning views and outstanding scenery along the valley and up the final hill to their destination,  Castleton.   It was a superb effort very well done to both of them!
