Performing Arts
Having the confidence to speak in front of an audience are skills for life. In the Pre-Prep, all children are encouraged to participate in class assemblies and concerts, with every child given the opportunity to take part and support their friends along the way.
Pre-Prep pupils also have the chance to enjoy LAMDA lessons, dance performances, and Verse Speaking events, with optional LAMDA and ballet examinations available for those who wish to take them.
A highlight of the year is our Christmas play, held in the Prep School’s purpose-built theatre. With a full-size stage, auditorium seating, and professional theatrical lighting (courtesy of our talented Year 7 & 8 Theatre Lighting Crew), it’s a magical start to the festive season. Parents and grandparents are regularly amazed by the children’s confidence and enthusiasm as they perform—often in front of audiences of over 200 people!
Even our very youngest two-year-olds take part in a special Nativity, making their very first steps into the world of performance truly memorable.
Our Summer Concert brings the year to a joyful close with a vibrant mix of song, dance, and performance, once again on the theatre stage.
