Centenary week in the Pre Prep was described by Head of Pre-Prep, Dawn Atkinson as “one of the best weeks EVER at the Pre-Prep! It was a  celebration of the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff, aided and abetted by the parent body! Lessons have been imaginative, informative and FUN….and predominantly focusing on the number 100”
Year 2  entertained parents to a wonderfully dramatic assembly enacting  ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’. They shared their learning on the Victorians, their Art and finally impressed their audience of parents and staff with their knowledge of the History of Brambletye – everyone learned something!
A ‘one hundred(ish)’ year old item  Museum was created in the Pre-Prep foyer with items to display  brought in by staff and parents.  The children loved being able to compare the pieces which they recognize today with the same items as they were 100 years ago.
The ‘Grand Finale’ of the week  took place on the field.   All the children aged 2 1/2 to 7  ran a  lap (or more) of the school field, eager to complete the 100 mile target – which they did thanks to the extra mummy and daddy laps.  The event was topped off
by the presentation of  the most magnificent Centenary cake baked by a tabernacle of  talented Pre-Prep mums.
