We are very happy to share that Brambletye has been shortlisted for the Boarding Innovation Award by the Boarding Schools’ Association.

This recognition reflects a clear and purposeful approach to boarding, supported by a programme that balances tradition with the needs of modern family life.

At the heart of boarding life is Wild Wednesdays, a weekly evening of outdoor adventure that has become one of the most anticipated fixtures in the calendar. Pupils explore the school grounds across the four seasons, building bivouacs, playing woodland hide and seek, toasting marshmallows under the stars and taking part in glow-in-the-dark capture the flag. The impact on wellbeing is tangible. Children return to the house energised and upbeat, colour in their cheeks, an internal glow. Wild Wednesdays sits within a broader weekly programme in which each evening offers something different, from collaborative Games Nights to Beat the Gappie and Beat the Teacher quizzes that build easy, family-style rapport with staff, alongside Kingsley Talks which offer a trusted space for pupils to share anxieties, anecdotes and triumphs. Our Golden Ticket initiative has further opened up boarding to all, strengthening connections between day and boarding pupils and encouraging children to experience and engage with boarding life more fully.

With flexible options for families and a culture rooted in kindness and community, boarding at Brambletye continues to evolve while remaining a place where children feel known, supported and at home.

We look forward to hearing the results of the awards in May.
