Many congratulations to Ziran, who has been awarded an Art Scholarship to Sevenoaks.
Ziran has presented an impressive and varied portfolio of work, notable for its wide range of materials and processes. His sketches, designs, and freehand formal drawings demonstrate a keen interest in creating and interpreting images using his unique and personal dynamic mark-making process, with flair and confidence. His observational drawings show a good command of technical skills, and his use of colour in his paintings is exceptional for his age.
On the day, Ziran chose to present his personal study, Abandoned, which he discussed at his interview. There are three stages to this unique module: a drawing, a painting, and a series of handcrafted drypoint etchings, which conclude Ziran’s creative journey in true style.
Ziran began his Art Scholarship journey in Year 6 and concludes his artistic career at Brambletye with a well-deserved Art Scholarship to Sevenoaks, for which he deserves full credit. Well done, Ziran! Mr H.
