Many congratulations to Greta, who has been awarded an Art Scholarship to Sevenoaks.
Following an intense interview process, a controlled drawing exam, and a group discussion about a chosen module, Greta has won an Art Scholarship to Sevenoaks.
Her chosen module for discussion was a unit of work based on the self-initiated theme of Distortion. Developed from an observational drawing of a Still Life with Bottles, Greta produced a series of concave and convex responses using the photocopying machine to enhance the distortion of each glass object. She moved the image at different speeds to create animated distortion.
Her final composition is a stunning display of mixed-media imagery, intertwining to form a labyrinth of reflective shapes and surfaces, all inspired by her chosen artist, M.C. Escher.
An outstanding, accomplished module and portfolio by an absolutely brilliant Art student.
