Many congratulations to Pippa, who has won an Art scholarship to Worth School.
Mr Holden said “Pippa’s creative journey began two years ago when her formal Art practice had been fairly limited to basic drawing and some painting at home. On arrival to the start line in Year 6 she was introduced to new dynamic drawing techniques, portrait painting on canvas, and most importantly she was taught how to create and weave a narrative using her own personal experiences, focus of which was on her recovery from cancer, culminating in the ringing of the bell last year.
Pippa’s portfolio pays homage to all the young children who are currently fighting their own personal battles at the children’s MacMillan cancer centre in London, and in support of this, Brambletye’s chosen charity in 2022 was the Royal Marsden Children’s Hospital.
Well done Pippa, your Art Scholarship to Worth is one to be highlighted for the beautiful message you have portrayed and for your courage to tell your story.”
