Mr Holden said “Max joined the Art Scholarship programme later than his peers and quickly developed his drawing skills, which originally started out as doodles in an A5 sketchbook and later evolved into a series of powerful Anatomical life drawings and Still life paintings, highlighted by the Head of Art at Ardingly Claire Grover, as a body of work which conveys Max’s unique personality. Max thinks outside the box, and produces ideas which are extremely advanced for his age, such as his Selfie module inspired by performance Artist’s Gilbert and George. Well done Max.”
