Many congratulations to Henry, who has been awarded an Art Scholarship and a Drama Scholarship to Ardingly.

Henry attended his first art course in Year 2 and chose to submit the two paintings he produced at the age of seven in his scholarship portfolio, to demonstrate the beginning of his love for art. Henry is technically gifted, and his observational drawing test, executed on the day of his art scholarship assessment, came joint second in an exceptionally strong field of creative talent. This was supplemented by a very strong portfolio of varied work.

Henry is passionate about his art and has informed me that he intends to study the subject at GCSE and A level. This scholarship is just the beginning for an exceptionally creative talent who follows in his sister’s footsteps as an art scholar at Ardingly College – a fully deserved achievement.

Well done, Henry! Mr H.

Henry has been a shining star on the Brambletye stage for as long as we can remember, and it has been an absolute privilege to watch him grow into the confident, talented performer he is today. From his very first appearances in school productions to his many successes as a Verse Speaking finalist and performer, Henry has only gone from strength to strength. His recent portrayal of Oliver in Oliver! was fantastic and the audience were completely captivated by him.
Henry has thrown himself into every opportunity on offer, taking part in countless Brambletye productions and setting a brilliant example for younger pupils as a Drama prefect too. He has always approached Drama with enthusiasm, kindness and a quietly determined work ethic, which has made him such a valued member of our Drama community.

As Henry moves on to Ardingly College, I have no doubt that he will continue to embrace every opportunity that comes his way. I couldn’t be prouder of all he has achieved, well done, Henry — you will be greatly missed! Mrs Johnson.
