Year 7 visit Natural History Museum

Year 7 take a
different look at the human body in the
Natural History Museum

Year 7 spent the day at the Natural History museum doing some active learning.

They discovered how life begins

In the Investigate Zone the students were told about the important work the scientists do in the museum and how much of this stems from the questions that they ask.

Brambletye pupils then got the opportunity to examine real samples from the museum vaults and form their own questions. They then used the museum’s intranet and resources to help them answer those questions.

The group then visited the Darwin Cocoon and used the new interactive displays to learn about the wide diversity of life and how scientists travel all over the world in order to collect samples and study organisms in their natural habitats
