MINIBUS RUNS
Brambletye runs two minibuses for early morning collections on different loops around Sussex and then delivery to the school by 8.10 am. Because of the different finishing times for various pupils at the end of the school day it is not viable to run an afternoon delivery service.
Blue Minibus Service: There is a blue minibus service which follows a loop to the south-west of Brambletye with pickups at Cuckfield (7.25am), Scayne’s Hill (7.35am), Piltdown (7.45am), Maresfield (7.50 am), and Nutley (7.55am).
Red Minibus Service: From January 2010, Brambletye are also offering a weekday early morning collection service using a Red Minibus, which travels a loop to the north-east of Brambletye with pickups at Limpsfield Chart, near Oxted (7.25 am), Crockham Hill (7.30 am), Edenbridge (7.40am), Queens Arms Car Park (7.50am) and south to the A264, then through Holtye (8.00am) and Hammerwood, Ashurst Wood and back to Brambletye.
Both buses have an estimated arrival time at Brambletye of 8.10am. We offer sibling discounts to help multi-child families using the service. The discounts are 50% off a second child, 75% off a third child and then the fourth or more children travel free. The service is not offered on the first day of each new term.
Charges: The charges vary according to the distance travelled and whether sibling discounts are applicable. However, they range from £4.80 per person per day for one morning per week, to £3.80 per person per day for 5 mornings per week.
Parents need to opt for a payment and pick-up plan for a complete term, but can change their plan for any subsequent term provided the school is notified in reasonable time before the start of a new term.
