Brambletye Safari Challenge

On Sunday 13th September the sound of 4x4s was heard around the ground of Brambletye particularly in our new field. Tracks had been cut in the long grass and contestants had to navigate a specific route to spot “animals” (really A4 sized pictures) on safari.
These pictures had letters on them which had to be collected and used to crack a code and answer a question. There were three driving challenges on the way ...
1. Blindfold parking

2. The log tightrope
(The driver must keep the offside wheels on the sleepers without looking out of the side window.
Good directions required from the rest of the crew.)

3. The wet one
(The marshal shows them where to go ...
…and they follow with a cup full of water in the back, trying not to spill any!)

Bwana Mkubwa keeps an eye on proceedings.
Then afternoon tea on the terrace.
This was followed by prizes for the lucky winners ...

Blindfold Driver Award

Log Tightrope

The Wet Ones

The Overall Winner
Awards that should have been made ...

Most lost and enthusiastic!
