Brambletye is a non-selective School. This means there are no entrance examinations and children are accepted by their order on our waiting lists. You are welcome to visit the School at any time for an informal tour and to meet the Headmaster and his wife, Mr and Mrs Cocke. Appointments may be made through the Admissions Registrar, Mrs Kate Atkin, on 01342 321004 or at registrar@brambletye.com or by completing the Admissions Enquiry Form.
In addition, we hold two Open Mornings each year, one in March and one in October and you are very welcome to join us at one of these. Open Mornings give you the perfect opportunity to see the School in action, meet staff, children and parents. Our next Open Morning is:
Saturday, 13 March 2010 10am - 1pm
Please complete the Open Morning Form if you would like to attend or telephone the Registrar on the number above.
Registration
Registration is the initial stage of the Admissions procedure and early registration is advised. Registration Forms are available from the registrar at registrar@brambletye.com or you can download a form below. A non-returnable Registration fee of £50 should accompany your completed Registration Form payable to Brambletye School Trust.
Offer of a Place
The offer of a place is accompanied by an Acceptance Form that must be completed and returned to indicate acceptance of the place, which is then guaranteed. A deposit is then required, which is returnable when your son or daughter leaves Brambletye. Fifteen months prior to admission we will request a Refundable Deposit for each place.
For new children joining us in the Prep Department, a questionnaire will be sent to you approximately nine months prior to entry, to be completed by your child's current Head Teacher and returned directly to us here. This provides valuable information in assessing your child's current level of ability.
New Pupils Day
All children must feel comfortable about the transition from their current school to a new environment. In the June prior to starting at Brambletye, we hold a "New Pupils Day". This is a very informal occasion for you to visit and look around the school again, meet some of the staff and other children. There are also representatives from Simmonds with supplies of the uniform items you will need to obtain. Children starting at the Pre-Pre and Nursery are invited to an informal morning or afternoon before the start of their first term.
Starting at a new school can always be a little daunting. We hope that you will take every opportunity to visit us here at Brambletye and, in the period between registration and admission, you will be invited to a number of events during the school year. By giving you all the opportunity to become familiar with Brambletye, we hope that your child will feel at ease when they start here and will settle in quickly.
